QM Environmental Services introduces BioStable

QM Environmental Services introduces a new product, BioStable. BioStable is developed for pig and poultry farms which experience problems with heavy odors from ammonia. The product will allow the farmer to comply with the new European directives for ammonia emissions and animal living conditions in stables, which come into force in 2013. Current methods for complying with these new directives mean large capital investments in air treatment equipment and new stables. These investments are very often not feasible for pig and poultry farmers.

With BioStable QM Environmental Services offers an affordable alternative that will earn itself back directly. BioStable stimulates the natural occurring microbes in the animal manure to quickly convert the urea fractions into mineral forms of nitrogen which means that ammonia is not allowed to form. Direct result of this action is a considerable improvement of the air quality inside the stable because of the reduced ammonia emission. An improvement in the air quality means that the animals inside the stable remain healthier, have a better food conversion which results in a higher weight of the animals. Also the mortality is reduced which means that the farmer is able to sell more animals with a higher weight at the end of a growth cycle. This results in a higher yield for the farmer which pays for the use of BioStable and most likely will increase his earnings.

The application of BioStable is very simple. No expensive equipment is required. Just a simple pressurized garden sprayer is necessary to apply the product. For pig stables BioStalbe is applied once a week by spraying it over the floor surface. For poultry stables with broilers the product is applied once per growth cycle by spraying it over the living surface 4 days after the start of the cycle. BioStable is diluted in water prior to application and per 1000 m2 of floor surface only 1 litre of product is required.

Recent pilot studies in 14 different pig stables with pig in different growth stadia demonstrated that up to 50 to 60% ammonia reduction was achieved. In stables with piglets at the start of the growth cycle this number reached 70%.

BioStable is capable to improve the living conditions inside stables for animals and humans. The animals remain healthier and grow without stress, diseases and mortality and the farmer benefits from a healthier working environment plus the higher yield of his products without investing large sums of money to comply with the new EU directives.

QM Environmental Services Launches The
MICROCAT-BIOPOP Series
FOR TRAP, PUMP STATION and SEWER MAINTENANCE

The MICROCAT–BioPOP's are rugged, semi-submersible cylinders that slowly dissolve and release microbes and enzymes that can reduce odor and improve FOG degradation. The MICROCAT-BioPOPS are fabricated of a slowly dissolving matrix inside a durable, porous netting. They are designed to be dropped into a water containing tank (grease trap, lift station, etc) by a line or rope. BioPops contain environmentally–safe, naturally-occurring microbes and their enzyme secretions. The microbes are specially selected for their ability to break down (not just dissolve) the organic contaminants common in food preparation wastewaters and domestic water discharges generally. For more information on the BioPOP's click here.

MICROCAT-TN
BIOFORMULA FOR HYDROGEN SULFIDE (H2S) CONTROL

QM Environmental Services introduces MICROCAT-TN for Hydrogen Sulfide Control. MICROCAT-TN contains preselected, adapted microorganisms for aerobic biodegradation of hydrogen sulfide. MICROCAT-TN also contains additional synergistic ingredients for nutrition of the microbes. MICROCAT-TN is a specialized product, which can be used alone or in combination with other MICROCAT products, to control odor, corrosion, and toxicity caused by hydrogen sulfide. The principal microbial strain in MICROCAT-TN oxidizes hydrogen sulfide and simple organic sulfides to elemental sulfur and various sulfur oxides, even under low dissolved oxygen conditions. The microbes can be used in lakes and ponds, aerobic wastewater treatment plants and wastewater collection systems.

MICROCAT-VNBAF Nutrient Blend for Biological Airfilters

QM Environmental Services introduces MICROCAT-VNBAF. MICROCAT VNBAF is a specialty blend of macro and micronutrients for use in stimulating biological activity and maintaining the biomass in biological air filters. MICROCAT VNBAF provides a unique, balanced blend of minerals selected for their ability to maintain the microbial communities contributing to the success of biological air filters. It is formulated specifically for use with sulfur oxidizing bacteria with or without MICROCAT microbial inocula (for example, MICROCAT - TN Thiobacillus novellus Culture) to enhance the rate and consistency of biological processing of gaseous streams containing odiferous organic and inorganic substances.

QM Environmental Services Presents
Microcat® BioBag

QM Environmental Services introduces a new Microcat product for the removal and degradation of oily rainwater runoff. Microcat® BioBag is a rugged, floating absorbant bag designed for installation in rainwater runoff containment and related water capture and treatment systems. The MICROCAT®-BioBag is constructed of a strong, but porous geofabric which allows floating and entrained oil to pass through and be absorbed by the contents of the Bag. The Bag contains an environmentally safe oil absorbant and selected naturally-occurring microbes capable of degrading the absorbed oil. The Bag floats on the surface, absorbs the oil, reduces the oily sheen and reduces the overall oil content the contained water or rainwater. For more information check the Product info section of our website or download the Poduct datasheet.
